This peanut butter fudge recipe is undoubtedly the easiest one you’ll make. Delicious, too - creamy peanut butter, sweet vanilla, and smooth butter make little squares of heaven that taste similar to Reese’s peanut butter cup filling, but way better. With only 10 minutes of active prep time using 5 simple, everyday ingredients, you can make creamy, delicious, candy-shop quality fudge that’s perfect for any time of the year.
Melt butter and peanut butter together in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
Remove from heat, then add the vanilla and salt. Slowly add the sugar one cup at a time, stir well in between each addition. Make sure to remove all the lumps!
Transfer to the prepared baking dish. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once set, cut into 36 square pieces.

Notes
Don’t scrape the sides of the pot (or bowl) into the pan when pouring the fudge mixture or you might end up with a grainy fudge. Pour as much mixture as you can, and scrape the excess on the sides onto a separate container.
Don’t walk away when the mixture is cooking, whether on the stovetop or microwave. Keep stirring - you’ll be thankful you did.
Leaving the fudge in the refrigerator for too long can make it dry and overly firm. Follow the recommended chill time as stated in the recipe.
Heat up a knife under hot water then use it to cut into the fudge to get slices with clean, smooth edges perfect for holiday gifts.
Serve: Serve peanut butter fudge squares with fresh fruit slices, vanilla ice cream, or cookies. For a savory pairing, enjoy with nuts or cheeses. Pair with milk, hot chocolate, strong black coffee, black tea (like Earl Grey or English Breakfast), or dessert wines.Store: It’s best to keep peanut butter fudge slices in an airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. If you want them refrigerated, transfer slices into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 1 month. Thaw on the counter before serving.
