Instructions

  • Wash, peel, and cut the sweet potatoes into thin equal-sized wedges. Toss them in a large bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, dill, and paprika until well-coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 F for 3 to 5 minutes. Place a single layer of sweet potato wedges in the basket. You’ll need to cook in batches, so fill the space comfortably and avoid over crowding.
  • Cook each batch for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking to flip the wedges over halfway through the cooking time. Continue cooking until crispy and golden. Then apply the same process for the next batch.
  • Serve hot wedges with your favorite dip or sauce.

Notes

  • Cut sweet potatoes into similar-sized wedges to ensure they cook at the same rate, so each one turns out just right.
  • For an extra crunch, soak the wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before you season and cook.
  • Lay the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer, working in batches if needed. This helps them get crispy on all sides.
  • Toss the basket halfway through cooking to make sure every wedge gets evenly crisp and golden.
Serve: Air fryer sweet potato wedges are perfect on their own with a variety of dipping sauces. Serve them wherever you'd use regular fries—alongside burgers, sandwiches, or wraps.
Store: Keep leftover air fryer sweet potato wedges in an airtight container—store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 weeks. To reheat, simply air fry them at 350 F for 5 to 8 minutes in a single layer. They’ll come out warm and crispy, ready to enjoy again.
