Peach cobbler is the perfect mix of warm, juicy peaches bubbling in a sweet, syrupy sauce and a golden, buttery topping that’s crisp on the edges and soft in the center. Just mix, layer, and bake for a peach cobbler that is ready in less than an hour.
Mix the flour, sugar, and ½ cup melted butter until combined. The texture will be crumbly. Sprinkle one-third of the mixture evenly across the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish.
Layer the peaches evenly over the flour. Pour all the syrup over the peaches, or if you prefer a more dry finish, don’t add it all. Top the peaches with the remaining flour mixture and drizzle the remaining butter over the flour topping.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling bubbles. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes
Taste your peaches first – if they’re overly sweet or too tart, adjust the added sugar accordingly.
Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter, or toss berries in with the peaches.
Sprinkle sugar on top before baking or broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes for extra crunch.
Serve: Top with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, or a spoonful of vanilla yogurt.Store: Cool completely, transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350 F oven to help bring back the cobbler’s crisp topping. Add a splash of milk or cream if it seems dry after chilling.
