Peel and trim the carrots into approximately 2-inch pieces. Try to cut equal pieces so they all cook evenly. Halve or quarter them lengthwise if they are more than 1 inch thick. Each piece should be about 2 inches long and ยฝ to ยพ-inch thick. Thinner tips are fine to leave whole.

  • Honey: No honey on hand? Use an equal amount of maple syrup or brown sugar instead.
